Another exciting Quarterly Pixel Feature Drop is set to take place on Monday, June 6. For those who can’t wait, Google is offering Android 12 QPR3 beta 3. At this point, however, it wouldn’t really pay to join the Android 12 QPR beta, because the final version of the update is on the horizon and installing the beta version has caused Android Launcher to suffer a new bug that prevents a user from searching for applications on his phone.
Android 12 QPR3 beta 3 interrupts the app search feature on Android Launcher
If you swipe up from the home screen with this error, open the Pixel Launcher drawer and search for one of the applications installed on your Pixel, it will not appear. This affects both first and third party applications and some pre-installed ones. Only applications with application shortcuts that match the name you are looking for will appear. Also, the settings in the application and the Pixel Tips search are not affected by this error.

And while at first it seemed that only those using the unstable Android 12 QPR3 beta 3 on their Pixel 4 or later models were affected, it turned out that some Pixel users using the stable version of the Android 12 operating system were also buggy.
Google allows you to revert to a stable release without deleting data for a limited time
Before signing up for the program, make sure you have backed up your data. Also keep in mind that this release will be faulty and that features you may expect to use on a daily basis may not work properly in beta. You may also want to purchase a power bank because battery life will be affected in beta.
While signing out of the beta and returning to public updates usually requires deleting your phone, four stable versions will be available during the beta release cycle. Google says, “When you apply a stable release update to a beta version, you can sign out without deleting the data for a limited time until you apply another beta update.”
It’s time to pick up Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro
For example, let’s say you’re using Android 12 QPR3 beta 3. We expect the stable release of the update on June 6. For a limited time, you will be able to unsubscribe from the beta program without having to delete data from your phone. However, once you revert to the next beta update, you must remain in beta or be forced to delete data from your phone until another stable version is available.
